Those are some really great pictures! I really like the one where ya'll are jumping. I wish I could jump but I am to much of a coward!

Wow... what fantastic photos!!! So, do you exercise race horses? Are any of those horses yours? I love the in-action photo of you jumping.

None of the horses posted are mine. Although, I do have 2 horses that used to be racehorses that are mine. Yes, I do exercise racehorses. The jumping I havn't done in about two years, although it was fun!

Do you exercise racehorses as your living? Are you a trainer?

I would just love to combine such a love with making a living. Do they retire racehorses (who won't go to stud) and adopt them out?

Do they only race thoroughbreds?

I have a couple of jobs, but I do exercise race horses are part of my living. Since I work at a track and not a farm, you only ride the horses in the early mornings (6am - 10am), that is only because there has to be an ambulance on site when someone gets hurt.

The retired horses that do not go to the breeding shed are either
-sent to farms
-sold and retrained for another carrer
-sold at auctions
-end up at rescues

They not only race Thoroughbreds, but Quarter Horses, Arabians, and harness horses such as Standardbreds.
