Well in the past I have used Xenodine Spray :P

New wounds the best thing is Triple antibiotic ointment. After the wound is mostly healed and to prevent proud flesh use a steriod cream, (like preperation H or a hydrocortozone cream), or as mentioned above using derma-gel

The old timers always know best. For most non serious wounds, mix Vasealine and BFI Powder[found in your drug store] The amount of BFI isn't exact but a 3:1 ratio is close.
