Why don't we copy the best ?
Someone mentioned that some non-horse people who watched NBC's broadcast on Sunday could see the difference in technique between the top riders like William Fox Pitt, Mark Todd, Andrew Nicholson, ect, and the American riders. It was mentioned that those riders seem to flow, and go with their horses more smoothly then ours.
I think everyone can agree that the British/Austrailan/NZ riders dominate our sport - pretty much always have, and I bet always will. They always just come here and blow us away.
So why in the world does our country's system, the ICP, preach methods that are different than the most successful in the world?? Instead of picking who they think is the best in OUR country, and preaching their methods, it would actually be much more intelligent to preach the methods of those who are always winning, one would think.
Just a thought......
