Default Hi from Louisiana

Just saying "Hello" from Louisiana. My husband and I are retired and thoroughly enjoy our three Peruvian Pasos. I've just started clicker training and I'm having a good time - the horses seem to like it, too!

I'm looking forward to making some new friends here.

Thanks so much for the welcome. I'll try to post some pictures. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing - here's hoping . . .

This is our gelding, Rocky. He will be 7 years this month, but this picture was taken a year or two ago

Hey! I have a question for you as another gaited horse lover. What type of saddles do you use on your babies? Mine is half gaited Morgan and half Rocky Mountain, and the endurance trail saddle I have doesn't fit well at all. He of course has high withers, and he's also pretty bulky from the Morgan and he has a wide back. The back of it flops up and down on his back when I lunge him. He's not under saddle yet, and I don't want to start him in an ill-fitting saddle!

Welcome.
First congrats on making it through the rat race in time to enjoy your horses/retirement.
They are lovely, but don't look small enough to be ponies. Sure your not English-they call everything a pony

Jen, All the morgan people I know ride in Lovatt & Rickett saddles

Welcome,

Hope you enjoy the site. Can't wait for the retirement years. Peruvian's are fairly popular out here in the desert.
