Hi all. I'm a horse safety specialist from Northern California, where its cold and windy!

I've been around horses for my whole life -- in fact my first word as a baby was "horsie" -- and I've speceialized in safety for the past 5 yrs or so.
I wrote the book on getting your horse out of life threatening situations. Its called "Save Your Horse! A Horse Owner's Guide to Large Animal Rescue". That's not the rehoming kind of rescue, but the kind that involves emergency responders, like a trailer rollover. Did you know that only about one percent (1%) of all firefighters know how to safely work with horses? Scary, isnt it? If something happens to MY horses, I sure hope I get that one percent!
Right now I'm busy working on a class for horse owners that teaches large animal rescue. Then we horse owners can go to our fire departments and get them to learn how to save our horses. I have a website on large animal rescue --
www.saveyourhorse.com. I hope you all come to visit me there and learn about LAR.
