Default Hi, me & Folly from Québec !

Hi everyone !

My name is Gabrielle, I am 15 years old and I live in Québec. My first language is french, I speak a little bit in English, and I study it at school, so sorry for my bad language. And if you want to correct my mistakes, I have no problems.

I ride horse since I am 5, and I have one, and her name is Folly. It's a 7 years old mare, it is an arabian and it is grey ! I learn a lot with her, she's my life. I do dressage and western, a lot of trail to. I like to do PNH with Folly, I spend a lot of time by doing ground work.

I don't know if you know what is "barefoot" treeless saddle, but I LOVE it , and me and my mother are the only seller in Québec ! Folly love it too lol !

I like all that is "natural" like barefoot triming, no bit, no tree ! Folly is 24/24 h outside, in a paddock and I trim it with barefoot trim !

So, I think that I will like this forum !

Welcome to HCC!! Folly is beautiful!! The last picture should be in a calendar. Your english isn't bad at all, you write better than some Americans I've seen, lol.

My dad's family is Canadian, although not from Quebec. They don't really speak french, but from the last name everyone thinks they do.

I'm better to read in english than to talk or write lol !

There is not much "french canadian" who's speak french in canada ! In Québec, a lot of people but in the rest of the country they all speak in English!

Hey Gabrielle! Its great to meet you! Folly is SOOOO BEAUTIFUL! Welcome to the forum, I hope you'll like it here. We've got alot of awesome members.

I also am into everything natural. I Barefoot trim, and am looking into the possibility of getting a treeless western. I'm guessing you know Pat Parelli from the savvy string around Folly's neck?

See you around!

Thank's for the great comments about Folly , I will say that to her lol !

Yeah, you're right, I'm doing a lot of parelli and I like that ! When I bought Folly like, uh, 4 years ago, she was so crazy, disrespectful and she was beaten so... I was like, 11 years old and I have no one to help me... and I have an horse that kick me, rear and bit me ... I was so scared, and I bought the PNH book of Parelli... I do it all by myself, I learn with her !

If you wan't to see a little bit of our ground working, I made a video like 1 week's ago, after two week of break because Folly was sick !

YouTube - Tafs au sol 25 octobre

I have a lot of video on my account too !

That's awesome! I had a Quarab gelding 2 years ago that I had taught to rear on command. I had also taught him to stretch his front legs out one at a time. It looked like he was trying to wave. We were just starting on the bow when I sold him. I was actually asking him to bring his head underneath, and tucked under his chest instead of to the side.
