Hi Crissie,
Welcome, We had someone else from the UK join not to long ago.
But I haven't heard from her in awhile. Us damn Yankees might have scared her off, hope not to do the same to you.
We really are a good group.

I dont frighten easily lol just really interested in finding out how you guys keep and ride your horses. I have coloured cob who has been barefoot now 18months but because of the damage done by years of being shod and his feet being contracted I think his transition will be lengthy. But we can ride on all surfaces and he is comfortable, look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi I've fine thanks, very wet in the UK at the moment were all waiting for the Spring, warmer weather and longer nights. So the horses are very muddy, although I do rug mine as I ride most days. Where do you come from?

Welcome Crissie! I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. We've got a blizzard going right now, should have at least 8 inches by morning. Glad to have ya!
I have a bay Kentucky Mountain Horse(gaited) named Captain Jack, he'll be 3 in less than a month.

I am in Arlington, Texas which is about 3 miles east of Fort Worth. It is pretty nasty here. Expecting ice and sleet today, tonight and tomorrow. But then it is suppose to be up in the 60's on Thursday and thru the weekend. Crazy weather here. The old saying around here is "if you don't like the weather, just wait a moment".

I keep my horse at a public barn that has 25 stalls, 2 arenas, and a round pen which is about 3 miles from my home and I love it. I am a novice at this horse thing and I enjoy having lots of experienced people around to give me pointers or to ask advice. We have alot of horse trails around several lakes in this area are really beautiful. Everyother weekend the people at my barn get together and all go to those trails to ride. I am a beginner rider and I have only been once, but that was enough to get me hooked.

Wonderful to meet you.

Courtney

Smile Welcome :)

Welcome, crissie! I'm glad you joined! How cold is the UK?
I live in California and it is around 56-86 degrees (throughout)
So, obviously is isn't cold at all, it's really nice out and sunny
I hope you have a great experience here!
