Hello from the Horse Capitol! Have any of you been to, live near, or want to visit Lexington? Do you know about the FEI World Equestrian Games coming here in 2010?!

Hello and welcome! I live in Tennessee. I'm about 1.5 hours from the Kentucky State line.

How exciting! Are there any specific disciplines you will be watching?

In Tennessee?! It's so beautiful down there. I prefer the bluegrass hills myself. Thank you for your welcome!

HI,
We try to be a herd friendly group.

Side note, I'll be @ WEG, looking for a house to rent for possibly the full 2 weeks.
Any help with that appreciated.

Oh my goodness, sorry I haven't replied!

But I'm definitely going to have to watch Show Jumping

I am not an expert on where to rent a house (as I already live here), but here is the information I do know:

The World Equestrian Games established a Housing Bureau for the Games. They have relationships with a majority of hotels in Lexington and the surrounding areas... you can contact them at: dfree@shortstravel.com (859) 948-0002.

For Private Home Leasing, I know that Event Home Leasing is handling some of that. You can check out their website at World Equestrian Games Home Rentals, Kentucky Derby Accommodations, Breeders Cup Housing - Louisville & Lexington to view the available homes for rent.

Hope this is helpful to you!!
