Smile Hi...

Hi,
Nice place you all have here. Lots of info. Looking forward to getting to know ya’ll.

A little about me. Back when my kids were young we had horses. Rode a lot, trail rides etc…. moved to town had to give up the horses. All tack was stolen out of a storage unit.

Fast forward 15 or so years. I’m 46 an unable to work outside the home, lots of time on my hands to devote to the ladies.
Getting back into the passion. Starting last fall, I have acquired three ladies, all are fairly young and green, but very smart and teachable. Just started to work with them this spring.

My pride and joy, Baby Girl a 5 year old fox trotter, recued from neglect. Big girl 16+ hands tall. Very smart. I believe (from what I have read) her to be Sabino from her markings Base color: Chestnut Pattern: Tobino with Medicine Hat, chest shield and flank shield, extensive white. Both eyes are blue.

Cass a 5 year old BLM mustang with two month old colt at her side. She had him a week after we got her. Also rescued her from neglect about three months ago.

Pixi, Indian pony, about 13 hands tall, 4 year old. Very curious, gentle, smart pony to eventually be the grandkids ride. Was given to me never neglected or abused.

I have very little tack, am still working on acquiring it as I go. All ladies have had lots of ground work and I have even rode each bareback with halters for short periods. No bucking as of yet lol. I have never “trained” before and am learning as I go researching and reading every thing I can. Mostly what I have learned online etc… an what knew I from previously owning horses. I am happy to find a nice forum with knowledgeable folks to lean on. I’m sure I’ll have lots of questions an will be looking for some guidance. Thanks in advance for being here!

Welcome! You've got some beautiful girls there!(and a cute wee one too!) Is Baby Girl your first gaited horse? There are a few of us gaiters around, if you have any questions I'd be happy to help!

My grandmother lives in NW Arkansas, in Corning. Anywhere near you?

In LOVE with the pony.
I gave up big horses awhile ago, prefer the short sports car type.
Although my 16.3 Tb thinks I like him best.
So sorry to hear about the bad luck, hopefully things will only improve from here on.
