Howdy, my name is Carrie,
I live about 33 miles from Houston, Tx in a very small town called New Caney. My husband Darrell and I have 5 horses, I have always been into QH's but now we have 1 draft, QH mix and a new rescue horse that is Arabian, the rest are QH. My husband and I like to go on trail rides. We ride the Salt Grass ride every year, its in Feb. and kicks off the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The Salt Grass is the longest, 8 days and ends with a parade thru downtown Houston. I just bought a new colt ( King Breed) that I intend to show, he is a so sweet and beautiful, its hard not to spoil him! I got the rescue horse for my grandson( 6 years old) to ride, he is 22 years old and has had a hard life but we are working hard to get him back on his feet. He has great manners and try's hard to please, just need alot TLC. My husband, grandchild and horses are my life and love every minute of it!!!

Welcome to HCC! I KNOW my butt couldn't stand 8 days,lol, but I'd probably try it anyway.
I own a 3.5 yr old Kentucky Mountain Horse gelding named Captain Jack and I work w/Rocky and Kentucky Mountain Horses on a farm learning to train and I do a bit of showing.
