Default Another California Newbie

Howdy All! Let's see what can I tell you about me and my herd. I live in the Eastern Sierra's and own 5 horses. I love to ride! Currently showing in English and Western classes and love to go trail riding. I belong to the Back Country Horsemans association and do trail work and rides in the Sierra's. Here is my herd:

Beau - Firebeaus Image (Firebeau x El Disar Cameo) Beau is a 22yrs. young Arabian gelding that I bought for my husband to use as a backcountry horse. Husband said he wanted to participate, rode him once and hasn't been on him since.

Lady - Soy La Una (UnoRoberto x Spruce Princess) Lady is a 20yrs. young TB mare. She was being used for English and jumping, but has since been retired to trail rider. But really, mostly stall art, with turnouts weekly to stretch those legs.

Stormy - ShikoStorm (Kazmeen Ibn Shiko x Sun God Serenade) Stormy is a 17yr. old Arabian mare and she is my English show horse as well as my back-country mount.

Admiral - Zafir Ibn Rashad (Rashad Ibn Ameer x ShikoStorm) Admiral is a 9yr. old Arabian gelding and he is my Showmanship, Western Pleasure, and sometimes back-country mount.

Pistol - Darling Roberto ( OM Jacob Ash x Soy La Una) Pistol is 16 months old and is already 14.2H at the shoulder. Pistol has started his show career in halter and is doing well. I will probably use him for halter and showmanship next year as a 2yr. old and then as a 3yr. old he can begin his riding career in some beginning English and Western classes.

I can't post pics right now of my guys, cause all of my pictures are saved at such a high resolution that I can't get them small enough, yet still be visible without a magnifying glass.

Katz1,

Thanks for the welcome. I tried resizing my pics to 500 x 500, but the files are still to big, like 49 instead of the 19.5 that they want. I'll have to work on saving them to a smaller file type and hopefully won't loose any quality.

Welcome to the forum!

You sound like you have a wonderful bunch

As for your photo trouble, have you tried Photobucket?
