Hello! I'm new to the forum and need to vent my excitement!! I have ridden since I was 7 years old and got my first horse when I was 10. I had that horse until I was 18 - even moved her accross the country with me!! Then when I was 18 my parents moved to NC and took my horse with them. They ended up giving her away

When I was about 20 or so I found her and went to "visit". She looked HORRIBLE!!!! She was very skinny and just horrible looking so I talked them into letting me have her back. She ended up getting a little better but I couldn't afford the vet bills so I found a loving home for her!
I'm now 26 and married with my own home. I was on Facebook one day and found the woman I sold one of my fillys too. She was my dream horse (palomino arabian/qh) and such a GREAT little girl. But money was tight so we had to find her a new home. 4 years later I get to see pics of her and WOW she is BEAUTIFUL (i'll attach pics of her when I had her and then one from now). I was talking to her new owner and she said she was doing GREAT under saddle. She's now thinking of letting me buy her back since her nor her husband can really ride or work their beautiful babies.
I'm INCREADIBLY excited even though nothing will happen right now. I have to get a little more stable with money and pay off my school "loan". But i'm hoping that in a few months her owner and I can work something out and I can have my dream horse back
BAD thing is I no longer have anything for a horse! lol I use to have a garage full! I think my dad still has a trunk full of brushes and such but I bet they aren't too usefull anymore. No more saddles... no more bridals... Sounds like I'm going to have to slowly get more tack before I get the horse! lol
So i'll be on here browsing! Maybe i'll get lucky enough to find what I need on here and maybe someone local who knows of some good places to board? I know it's going to be a long hard road!! But it'll be worth it
The ranch owner I was last with when I was a teen told my mom it's amazing how I just light up every time i'm near my horse. I can't wait to get that feeling back again!
I just refuse to live with my horse again. It was great having them in the backyard but I remember all the sleepless nights during storms and cold nights!!
