Default Hey All! Welcome Me!! <3

Hey all! I am Kylie, I am 23 years old and horses are my life! I am a plus sized rider with an unfaltering love for draft horses! I am working on losing weight (any tips would be great) but its a slow process and I don't exactly have will power, haha. I have 3 horses of my own and two others that I am training for my barn owner, but I will introduce them all on another thread I have been riding for 16 years and I have tried it all, and though in my heart I will always be a hunter/jumper rider, I have recently fell head over heels in love with Dressage and am training my 5 year old mare to compete in dressage and eventually some low level eventing.

I can't wait to get to know everyone here and look around, post, and chat! And Happy Holidays!!

Hi,
Glad your here.
Everyone seems to gravitate towards a certain breed, but a horse is a horse and once you are bitten you can never be without.
Weight loss- Long line/ground drive- you get your exercise and your horse gets training.
A win/win situation

Hello and welcome! Glad to have you here! I am very attached to drafts as well. We live on a ranch in middle TN and have APHA and AQHA's. (Used to breed/raise/train but due to the great american horse overload and the economy decided there are enough horses existent at the moment!)
Hmmm, health plays a huge factor in weight control also. Watch sugar and carbs (any bread especially high gluten like white)... don't know how extreme you want to go but on and off of raw diets works wonders! After 2-3 days of a raw diet, I don't even crave cooked foods or sweets, I just feel so much more energetic and healthy. going raw one day out of the week is always good for me. And as an additive raw food has it's enzymes so your body is able to break it down much much faster than with cooked foods which cook the enzymes up.
I had slight weight problems when my thyroid became underactive. May want to check that also...

Well there's my two cents ~ I hope it helps!! Enjoy the forum!!!
