Default Hello from Cajun Country

I am just getting back into horses after being away from it for 35 yrs..I am 54 yrs old now and have a enough property to raise and train 1 horse for myself and maybe my 2 grandsons if they decide they like horses.I had Quarter Horses as a young man but will try a TWH for a smoother ride for us older folks.I live near Lafayette La. just a few miles from the big Town of Breaux Bridge. I am getting a weanling Palomino stud colt from a friend of mine in Crossville Tn. I went visit this past weekend and put a rope halter on him for the first time and tried the Clinton Anderson method and after 15 minutes I am happy to say that colt was taking steps toward me with a light tension of the lead rope. This Clinton Anderson method is all new to me and I am very excited to go through all of his training as this colt grows up.
