Hello everyone
Just noticed this section so thought I would do a little introduction of myself.
I'm 25 and I've been a horse lover since about forever. Currently in school part-time studying horses while my husband is overseas (military).
Let's see...I don't own in horses, though I have leased a few and owned one (had to sell him when we moved). I have about a million books on horses, everything from conformation to breeding to riding and just about anything else.
One of my favorite trainers is John Lyons, but I also love Clinton Anderson and Richard Shrake. Never had much of a chance to get into Parelli as I don't have a horse and it seems a lot of money to spend on his gear just to take a look.
Oh, and while I love all breeds, my favorite is the Kiger Mustang. I can't explain it, there is just something about them that I love. And, if my name didn't tell you, red dun is my favorite shade they come in.
And be prepared, I ask a LOT of questions about everything. I even have a little notebook I jot down questions in to ask forums, etc. The reason for this is while I do have some real life experience and lots of books, I know I have a lot to learn and I love "picking the brain" of breeders, other horse people, etc. Hope no-one minds.
So looking forward to learning and joining in on discussions, etc.
