Hey Y'all! My name is Mary Jane, i'm 19, and I am from NC but i'm currently attending University of Kentucky to major in Equine Management (a new major that is about to open and i'm soo excited!!). i have been riding for about 11 years, and trained a few horses in my time. i had 2 horses (a palomino and a sorrel paint) but i had to sell them to come to KY. i have been really wanting to join a forum to help other people w/ what i have learned, and also get advice when needed!!

Welcome to the group!!! What style of riding to do you? That is very exciting about the new class you will be attending, wish we had something like that over in CA. Also, thats great about training a few horses, I re-train OTTBs.

I ride English pleasure mostly, but i do enjoy hunter/jumper, and here at UK i'm going to join the equestrian team, and hopefully the dressage team b/c i'm not too familiar with dressage and i'm interested in it!! I know i'll have a blast talking with all of these other horse lovers, and i'm sure i'll learn a lot too!!

That is really cool you are going to get to major in what you love. My wife is a trainer and she really loves seeing kids grow in their riding skills.

Yes, i am really excited because my boyfriend is involved with his diesel truck forums and he loves them, so i knew i would love a horse one!!

I hope i can be as much help as i can, and i'm looking forward to running into a few problems this summer (i am taking on a green appaloosa) so i can see what others have to say!!
