Default Hello from TX

Hello I am Kathy from Texas. We have 5 horses right now. 3 paint mares 1 QH mare and our yearling paint stud. We like to trilride and I do some play days but mostly just have some big pets.

Welcome ! hope you like it here. You sound alot like me. I mostly just ride for the fun of it. I'm to chicken to show so I sent my stallion to a trainer to train and show for me, I'd much rather watch and set on the bleachers and bite my nails! he he he ....

Hi welcome,

What part of Texas are you in. Spent some time up in North Central, but couldn't handle the weather. But before I left I bought most of my horses there. They are mainly paints also.

Hi Kathy!

I share the same interests only I don't compete in the playdays. But my daughter does and I am her groom, caterer and taxi driver. I have a lot of fun just watching her and her pony.

Yea, curious as well to what part of Texas. I have lived over most of it except the south and valley areas. My horses are too spoiled for showing but we do show the Brangus, I play chaffeuer, maid, and room service for my daughter then as well. Do you go to Houston Rodeo by any chance?

What part of Texas are you from. We are located in Nevada right now but have been looking in the Stephenville area. If you have any info on Stephenville I would sure love to hear it....you can email me privately. Love to trail ride especially in the mountains.

I am in Texas too. I have 3 horses right now...a 23 yr old grey Arabian mare, Toffah, a 20-something black TWH gelding Romeo and a 19 yr old Dun Paint mare, Dixie...We ride the trails and sand dunes around here and do local parades.

Due to saddlefitting problems I am looking in to going treeless. I have been riding with a bareback pad til I can afford a saddle, and it has improved my riding skills and made my horses much happier. At 58 years old, I am feeling like a teenager again.

My 4th horse Sadie, a palomino QH mare in her late 20's died about a month ago. She was my first horse. She had health problems, so I am glad she is no longer in pain, but I miss her terribly. I used to ride her bareback when she was sound and we had a ball. She was my soulmate.

I am trying to connect with my other horses, and right now Romeo, the TWH, is trying to fill Sadie's boots. He is very affectionate and gentle, like Sadie was, but a tad spooky. I think he doesn't see too well.

Toffah and Dixie are chowhounds and are only interested if food is involved. But they have great personalities and give me a lot of joy. Toffah, the Arab, is the escape artist, intelligent and the most versatile horse I have ever ridden. Dixie has great potential as a trick trained horse. She is very clever and bright and sensitive, but has been abused and/or injured and is tough to halter.
