Post Another Indiana horse person

Hi everyone! Thanks for the invite, looks like a nice group of members. I call myself trailman beccause thats what my wife wants to make me! I've never ridden on a trail in my life but I have the feeling I will be soon if she has her way about it. Any tips will help, what do you think about velcro strips to hold me in the saddle? Got that one from the wife, she thought it was pretty funny. ha ha

Welcome Trailman,

I wish my hubby would want to ride more. My best advice get a good broke in saddle. Take plenty of IBprofen after that first long ride. You will be sore in places that you didn't know exsited. Have fun on the trails thats my favorite thing to do.

Welcome Trailman!

You never know, you might love trail riding.
My husband was never around horses, but started to ride with me.
He really had a lot of fun and enjoyed going camping with me and the horses.
And of course, I appreciated his efforts to make me happy.

I know I like nothing better than to be in the woods on the back of a good horse.

Trail riding is always a great excuse to ride away from kids, the house, bills, and whatever else manages to come between couples these days. It is always good to have something both of you like doing. And if you are willing to learn all the better I say. My boyfriend learned to ride horses and I learned to ride motorcycles. I thought it was a fair trade, but then I already had a horse for him to ride, he had to buy the second motorcycle. Ok, maybe I DID get the better end of the deal! LOL! Welcome to the group!
