Default New from Northwest Lower Michigan

Hello!
I joined last week but havent had time to find my way here until now.
We went trail camping from Thursday thru the weekend. Had a wonderful time.
Thought I would tell you alittle about myself.
I am 52 years old. Been married 33 years with 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren with another on the way. Yippeee! I love those grandbabies!
I have 2 horses, 1 registered APHA gelding and a Paso Fino mare. We have downsized to this point and am loving it.
I compete at a local speed show and am in 4th place in my age catagory, 35 and up.
Last year I was second. Seems this year we have a few that just fly out there. My mare, Rose, does fare for herself but cant come close to those long legged much taller horses. She has to work twice as hard and still cant beat them. She hasnt DQ'ed once or had any penalties so I am satisfied with that. Not many can say that! At this show we have 3 generations competeing which I am proud of. Myself, my daughter and 3 grandaughters all show in our own classes of coarse
I do alot of trailriding.
Also am a horse 4-H leader.
I love to garden and worked at a nursery for 5 years and retired this year due to knee problems.
Now I go to the local farm market selling perennials and baked goods to make an extra buck. Got horses to feed ya know.
My hubby and I love antiques and going to yard sales, auctions and flea markets to find them.
Well this is my life and I am glad to share it with you. I look forward to spending time with you all here on Horse Chitchat!

If this is downsized, then I can only imagine what it was before! I love it when shows become family affairs. Sounds like you are enjoying yourself and that is all that matters. Just make sure you have lots of pics to document the multi-generational shows though!
