Hey..I would like to hear everyones horsey story...You know..those little incidents that make us love our horses (or wonder WHY we love them!! LOL) I have many with my arabian gelding..Muscats Fire. And a few with our NSH (half arab/half saddlebred)

Here is just one of many of mine..

Whenever I go out to clean stalls in the winter I sing..the horses are cooped up alot in their stalls in winter since my pasture gets like an ice rink sometimes. So I sing to keep myself and the horses calm. Now I know it sounds strange (not if you KNOW Muscats Fire!!) but Muscat has songs he just loves and otheres he obviously does not. He will stop eating and put his ears flat back and look at me if he does not like the song. LOL
His favorites are "I will always love you" and a song from my church called "Chariots of Fire" I think he imagines himself as a warrior horse of God helping Elisia..sees himself pulling around one of those chariots of fire!! LOL

Well not so much a story but my Saige one day was being inpatient for her feed and when I poured it in the bin she swatted me with her head.. a "Get outta my way." Pushed me ...oh I was mad... I got my handy stick and ran her out of the stall.. then put the halter on her and made her walk in, back up and stand in the corner and wait untill I said "Come' then she was allowed to eat.... now she goes in her stall and backs up to the corner and stands there as I pour the grain in the bin and waits till I say "Come." she knew she was naughty.... speaking of Come.. I have been working on her to "Stay" and "Come".. big dog.. huh... lol
she is so smart she could be a circus pony........ Oh I could write 10 pages of stuff she does.. she scratchs her butt on a tree when we trail ride.. I almost fell off laughing so hard.. she was doing the hula..... sometime she will carry her lead rope in her mouth like a dog does when their young... but not all the time.. just a once in a while thing....
she makes me laugh every day........

When I was little I used to help try and walk my momma's horse. Well, be the ornery creature i was, i wanted to walk Dallas all over the place. Dallas would tug on the lead to get me back to the path. Momma always just to call her the best herding horse she ever saw.
