Hello everyone.
I came across this forum while looking for horse forums on google.
I always love meeting horse mad people.
(Prepare for a long post)
Anyway, my name is Melissa, I'm 19 years old, I have blue eyes and purple hair. (I know, I know lol) I listen to heavy metal/Rock/Oldies, I read, write, sing and draw (Equines and Humans) and I love photography. I am from the UK, South Wales.
I studied 2 courses in horsecare at college, and have completed my stage 1 riding and horse care exams.
I own 7 beautiful horses, and once my dad has found phoned up someone, we may be getting 12 more horses (I just can't wait! - We are rescuing them from being put down)
Ok, to start off with...
Me and my mum run an Andalusian stud farm, we have had one foal this year, and she's turned out to be such a beautiful funny little thing. We put our Purebred Andalusian mare in foal to our Purebred Andalusian stallion named Luca. We are hoping for a foal for next year. Unfortunatly, I have one mare that will not take to a stallion, so she will just be my normal riding horse. We have had many people asking for our stallion to cover their mares, but they want something for nothing really. Puntal V (Luca)'s Stud Fee is £450.
Ok, so here's a little about them.
Puntal V
Registered Name: Puntal V
Stable Name: Luca
Age: 6
Breed: Purebred Andalusian
Sex: Stallion
Height: 16HH
Personality: Luca is a very gentle and funny horse. He's brilliant while being ridden, and is absolutely brilliant around mares. He ride's out with mares/geldings/stallions. He loves to open doors, play and loves being fussed.
The Story
We got Luca a year ago, he was bought over from Spain. He took a week to arrive, because he stopped in Holland for a day or two. He lost alot of weight on his journey here, but now he's a bit on the podgy side, but he's a very happy horse. You forget he's a stallion, because he has no stallion habits at all. He's just the best.
Fenda
Registered Name: Fenda II
Stable Name: Fenda
Age: 11
Breed: Purebred Andalusian
Sex: Mare
Height: 15.3HH
Personality: Fenda is a lovely mare, she has a very kind eye, perfect movement and she's great with other people. She can be a bit nervous/frightened at times (I think she had some bad expeirience at her previous home) She's the one out of two Andalusians to produce a chestnut Andalusian in the UK. She has thrown many beautiful foals that are now doing well in other homes. We are very lucky to have her.
The Story
Her previous owners were splitting up, and selling all of their horses. So we decided to buy her, along with her filly (Who I will get to in a minute) We got her in Novemeber, last year. She's still putting on weight, but shes doing really good.
Breeze
Registered Name: Fantasia
Stable Name: Breeze
Age: 1
Breed: Purebred Andalusian
Sex: Filly/Mare
Height: At the moment, around 14.2HH - Will make over 16HH
Personality: Breeze is a very friendly, funny filly. She can be moody at times, but apart from that, she's good. She's always seen with her mum, or with one of my other mares, who is like an aunty to her.
The Story
Basically, it's the same as Fenda's story really. But she was about 9 months old, I can't quite remember. She was frightened of humans though, it took a few days to actually be able to stroke her. But now, she's a very huggable horse. And if you ever feel down, go into the field, and Breeze will be there to give you a hug if you feel like having a good cry.
Chase
Registered Name: Chaseford Charisma
Stable Name: Chase
Age: 11
Breed: Welsh Cob X Arabian
Sex: Mare
Height: 14.3HH
Personality: Chase is a very moody mare at times. There's only certain people she likes. But luckily she loves me and my family. She's great for fending people off, she's very fast and she is a brilliant jumping horse. Sadly, Chase cannot produce foals, it's such a big shame really

But ah well...
The Story
Chase was rescued by us, along with her best friend (Who I will also talk about in a few minutes.) Let's just say, she was kept in a stable with over 2ft of manure, no water, no hay, no feed and there wasn't a blade of grass to be seen outside of the stable. She was 4 years old when I had her, very weak and skinny, you wouldn't believe it's the same horse. I have pictures of when I got them, but they looked worse in real life. We got them for £250 each, and I tell you what, they are worth around £4,000. She is very spoilt horse, but she will always be well looked after, she has taught me ALOT.
Gypsy
Registered Name: Gypsy Dancer
Stable Name: Gypsy
Age: 7
Breed: Cob X 7/8th's TB
Sex: Mare
Height: 15.3HH
Personality: Very sweet and funny mare. Totally bomb proof (Has had young children on her back) She's just a very friendly mare, and I love her to bits. She's ok with other horses, especially Chase, as they were rescued together.
The Story
Read Chases, they were both in the same conditions. Gypsy was about 1/2 years old when I had her, and already broken in.
Raine
Registered Name: Esperanza
Stable Name: Raine
Age: 4 months and about 15 days.
Breed: Part Bred Andalusian
Sex: Filly/Mare
Height: N/A - Should make about 15.2HH - 15.3HH
Personality: Very forward going little girl. She's a bundle of joy. I love her to bits. She get's along with everyone, and she's a funny little thing.
The Story
Well, you know...
We put Gypsy in foal to Luca, and they this little bundle of joy Hehe.
Willow
Registered Name: Willow
Stable Name: Willow
Age: 2
Breed: Miniature
Sex: Stallion
Height: About 31 inches.
Personality: Willow and I don't get along that much, but some days he's ok. He was up for sale not long ago, then we were thinking about how Luca would react without him. He's a cheeky little guy, but very cute.
The Story
I rescued him from Gipsies... He was being hit by kids and was kept inside a dirty trailer. He was only a few months old when I had him, but he's ok now, he lived out with Gypsy and Chase until he was old enough and developed stallion habits.
Ok, that's all of that done...
I will post pictures in another topic maybe...
So, sorry I typed so much, that's just a little about me and my horses.
