Default Top of the Day, to all!

I am so excited about stumbling upon this website, yet sad that I have not been a member sooner.

Nonetheless, my name is Rob, a native Washingtonian who spent endless nights dreaming of being a "COWBOY", but doesn't everyone ? LOL. Well at the age of 13 I was introduced to horses and that is where my love for life began. This grew to me working with many horse trainers and professionals, attended "Shoeing School" (I love the way that sounds) and later pursuing a Equine Degree.

Now at the age of 30, I have recently quit my security job as an accountant, to train horses full time. I have a total of 43 horses in my care which are comprised of boarders, horses for training and of course a few of my own.

I am scared and nervous about this changing career paths, however I think it is only human to be.

I am always looking for horse friends to chat with about everything and nothing all a the same time. I currently live in East Texas and have no family in the area. So drop me a line from time to time and I will do the same.

If anyone has accounting questions as related to an Equine Business Please do not hesitate to ask, I will help however I can.

Rob

Welcome to the forum "Cowboy Rob" it's good to have you here. Starting your own business can be a nail biter proposition, I know, I did it last June. But when you love your job it will never feel like work! Congratulations on taking the big step, I'm sure you will do fine!
