My mare has some crusting/peeling on the front of her canons on the back legs. My stablemate said they were scratches. Anyone have experience with this? I've just groomed her legs extra thoroughly and they come off but there is a little blood that I treated with wonder dust. Is this something more than just requiring more grooming care?

maybe he was pawing near something sharp. but i think that what you did is ok. you could also use Aluspray or similar spray on top of it. It should heal in a few days, and i don´t think is a big deal, but still take a look at it whenever you can.
