Default Study on equine barefootedness- please help.

Study on equine barefootedness- please help by filling in this questionnaire aimed at horse owners

My name is Anne-marie Harwood. I am conducting a research project from the University of Chester on the subject of equine barefootedness.

As I am sure you are aware, there is a huge amount of controversy surrounding the issue of equine barefootedness, with myth and propaganda attached to both sides of the argument. This study is looking specifically at owners’ experiences of equine barefootedness, with the hope that the data produced will provide information for horse owners in the future. This study is not trying to conclude whether barefootedness is right or wrong.

The study is focusing on owners of barefoot horses and owners that have tried going barefoot before returning their horses to traditional shoeing.

If you would like to help and you fit the criteria mentioned above, I would like to invite you to fill in our on-line questionnaire. To do this, click on this link:

Some people may recognise this invitation, as we ran this survey over Christmas and New Year. We are now keen to gather data for the summer months. We thank everyone who took part in the previous round of the survey, but ask that you do not complete this survey a second time. However please pass on the link to friends who were not involved the first time round. We will post a summary of the final findings later in the summer at http://www.chester.ac.uk/ccsr/au.

If you have any questions or comments about the study, please do not hesitate to get in contact with the project leader: email e.creighton@chester.ac.uk

Thank You.
