Default dumb question

How far can you hear a donkey?Every morning I hear a donkey hee hawwing away
but the nearest donkey that I know of is 2 miles away, Is it possible I am hearing him?

It is quite possible. I live close to an Amish community that lives 3 miles away and on down. Sometimes when the horse and buggies go to neighboring communities, I can hear the clip-clopping of the standardbreds on the pavement 2 miles away.

I went camping w/the horses a few months ago and was parked down the row from a few mules. WOW! I wouldn't be surprised if you could hear them 5 miles away! Over the course of the weekend I got to know each separate mules bray,lol.
