What's a reasonable amount of time to hear from your vet after xrays are taken of your lame horse? It's been a week and a half, and I've been calling the vet's office to no avail with a still lame horse.

Wow that seems way to long..

Unless you live in a rural area? Then maybe they have to be sent out? Still they should have a voice message service to get back to you?

I would shop around.. Maybe we are spoiled with our Vet, He just makes billing errors once in awhile..

You should have already had the results!
Either there is nothing wrong or they just haven't gotten the word from the vet yet.
I would definately pay the vet a visit and get it straight from the vet's mouth!

Either way if your vet does it the old fashion way with film or the new way with digital, and they didn't have to send them off which is highly unlikely. You should have heard something the same day if not the next. Waiting with no response is VERY unprofessional by all means. I would go in and talk with him and if you are not satified I would get the xrays and find a new vet. Even if the pictures were taken wrong they should have been back out the next day to redo them. I know we always call our clients back the same day if not first thing the next morning if it is not critical.
