I agree, definately have the vet come out and make sure they bring an opthalmascope, then make sure you have an area that is either inside the barn or shaded well so they can look in the eye. There could be a couple of things going on and eyes in horses need to be check quickly. If the horse is going blind in that eye, it will take time to adjust but most do just fine. I had a rescue mare for a while that was born with cateracts in both eyes the previous owner thought that the horse just had funny looking blue eyes. Anyways once she buddied up with another horse and my goats she did just fine, even ran and played like normal. She was not safe to ride out but could be used lead lined in an arena.
