Default need some help asap?

hello, I have a 8 year old quarter horse and I have owned him for about 2 months now and I have been riding him until something in his mouth is hurting because he hates a bit now and it is the correct one and he doesn't wanna neck rain he just wants to jerk his head? Any idea?could it be wolf teeth?

I would definitely have the teeth checked first. It could possibly be the type of bit, it could be horsemanship related issues, or his own behavioral issues. Do you know when he started this and had you already been riding him the the bit he is currently using?

well yes he has done fine when I first started riding him now he's totally differnt & it's a broke. Bit just like the previous owner.? He doesn't even like me putting the bit in his mouth

At 8 yrs old, I don't know that it's wolf teeth, but it could definitely be a tooth issue. He could have impacted caps, misalignment, all kinds of things. I think you should call your tooth fairy and see what can be done.

Yes, Call out your dentist. It may be something as simple as an abcess or ulcer.
If not, check everything else. Saddle fit/girth sores even bad shoeing. Then check you, do you sometimes use the reins for balance or get abrupt when he is naughty. But do have his mouth checked first.

thank you alot! im going to take him to the equine dentist and ill let u know in a few days what they say might be a week or so but check back in! thanks again
