I have a 4 yr old OTTB who was pin fired when he raced, i have had him for about a year now and when i got him first he had terrible hoofs, he could hardly walk for about 3 months, and now even though his hoofs have grown out and he can comfortable do just about anything he wears his hoofs a lot more on his back right and front left, the other 2 hoofs grow out normally. I have put him on a biotin supplement and have been putting bear cat on his coronet but i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what could have caused him to have 2 good and 2 bad hoofs and is there anything else i should be doing.
There is a difference between good hoof quality & good trimming shoeing.
If he is truly wearing a diagonal pair a good Vetting/chiropractic adjustment may be needed.

Which a good farrier will be able to tell you (at alot cheaper consultation fee than a vet)
