Favorite horse film ever. Always makes me cry. But i was wondering...a bit silly really but at the end when Black Beauty is all skinny, how did they make him look like that? Special effects? Because it looks really real.

Yes, it is very touching story. But I didn't watch the film, I read the book ''Black Beauty'' by A. Sewel when I was 7 years old. I read this book 10 times.

Definitely one of the best movies ever! I heard they actually rescued a slaughter bound horse for the part where he's emaciated and painted the star on his head. Half of the time I turn it at that part because it's so painful to see. Happy in the ending though.

I've also read the book, as always the book is better but the movie comes close!
