Would love to know if these stirrups really do make a difference? I broke my pelvis and find that my feet sometimes go numb when i'm hacking and i have read positive things about these stirrups. What does everyone think? Are they worth investing in?

I personally am very traditional and don't go for the "new" stuff. Idid try them any didn't like them although one schooling session, not really fair.
I can tell you however that I have a few other people who have both the jointed sides and the turn around tops that rode in them switched back and forth thinking that they would like them next time, until finally giving up and staying with standard fillis stirrups-This is English of coarse.
Next, I hope your accident wasn't with a horse, and good for you for riding.
I had a horse flip over head first and dislocated both my hips, It took years and alot of physical therapy to be able to sit in a comfortable and effective position. Although I do still ride slightly crooked and have terrible back trouble. You may need to look farther then the stirupps and don't be afraid to go some unconventional routes.

I started using them alot when I had back surgery about a year or more ago & they helped me out, but now I'm back to good old soild irons-I love those the most :P

Wow, this sounds like the accident thread! I broke my Pelvis in 3 places and broke my upper left leg in-two when a horse flipped over on me. Funny tho, I actually bought the horse from my brother soon after that. She was an awesome mare reguardless of her slip down the hill.

I've never tried them or heard of any comments about them. Do you have the same problem when you ride bareback? I'd probably ride in a treeless saddle (though I know those can be a bit expensive) they are oh so comfortable though!

? What is up with horse trainers breaking their pelvis's ? My wife broke hers before I met her and she was a couch potato for a long time.

This goes for just about anything new on the market. Saves me a lot of dough.

I use the Herm Sprenger flex joined stirrups. I LOVE them, super easy on my knees and I would never go back to the fillis ones again!
