Default Fencing

With all the different kinds of fencing around - I have one that we have used for years....
My husband went to a sale and came home with hundreds of feet of yellow air hose, the kind used for welders, etc. We did not know what to do with it and then it dawned on us....fencing.

We have top and bottom strands of the air hose with electric in the middle. The air hose was pulled taut and stapled to wooden post. We live in snowy, cold SW Minnesota. The air hose sags and gets buried in the snow. Come spring it pops right back up.....in ten years we have only had one break - we stretched it taut again and just tied it together. Every spring we have to go out and fix the electric, but never the air hose. The horses can see it much better than the smooth wire we had before.

Has anyone else tried this????

Hey, that's a wonderful idea. If I ever happen to end up with any air hose I'll be sure to put it to good use haha.

Fencing is the very important issue in saving pets from other harmful things and abide them to our secured area.

I think there are many fencing techniques which are adopted world wide. But to have stable fencing system, i recommend you to check ------>> FENCING

I come from a fishing community and so rope is freely available. I usually have two strands of electric wire and 3 or 5 strands of rope. My posts are iron re-bar used in construction, covered with White PVC tubing used in plumbing that I bought really cheap at the recycling center.

It works for me but I admit that there are some horses that it won't work with. My Canadian is really smart and she can get out, I'm sure, but she has a serious case of separation anxiety disorder (she was alone most of her 9 years) and so she won't try to leave. My Hanoverian is a big woooose and is scared of the electric wire, even to step over a downed fence.
