I have not used it personally, but my friend gives it to her horse daily. A few years ago right after she got him he had to have colic surgery and they removed 40 lbs of sand from his large colon. Since the surgery he is on Psyillium every day, But he was still having bouts of soft watery stools. So she put him on the probios. He has been doing ne since. So in his feed she adds the psyillium (a must) and the probios powder. This way it keeps the natural bacteria at the levels needed to keep his gut working correctly.

I do have a cushings pony on it, periodically she still gets loose. Although I just attended a nutrition lecture with Dr. Pugh from Auburn University who stated and discussed that using it is a mute point. That scientifically and research has shown it not to have any effect. But that feeding it won't hurt as it has no effect at all either way. For as cheap as it is if there are no negative side effects, I continue to use it.
