Default alarming find in sweetmix horse feed!!!

can anyone help, while feeding horses we found clumps in feed that appeared to look like dried manure,broke it open and discovered it had a small live white worm in it.is this normal,i would hate to think i would be feeding my horse anything containing worms.just bought bag of food yesterday.help!!!!

Just take the bag of food back to the feed store. They should replace. I have found that the sweat feeds tend to have more of a bug problem then the dry grain mixes or pelleted feed. But like I said the feed store should replace it since it was a bad bag.

Default Sweet Feed

I have had clumps too..I think it is just molassis that stick into a chunk..I always feed them to my dog!!LOL I guess Ill break one up and check for worms now!! POOR Otis (my dog) hope I have not been feeding him something nasty!!

I never heard of that. Thanks for the update. I will run to the trash can now. Okay tomorrow.

I have to go fishing pretty soon. Weight I can use the worms! I will go now.
