First of all, I'm new to the message board so hello everyone

Second, I am moving to the DC/MA/VA area soon and I was wondering about events in the region.

Also, what are the horse people like around these parts? I realize that it can vary depending on the area, but I'm moving from a pretty laid back area--people are not...I'm trying to find the right word, snobby I guess covers it. I've heard that a lot of the farms around DC are populated by wealthier people who mostly show their horses (not there is anything wrong with wealth or show-barns). I am looking mostly to trail ride, do some ring work etc. Anyone familiar with the area?
