Default Joe Hancock

Hello everyone!!!!! sorry i havent been on in awhile. things are crazy over here.......

What does everyone think of the Joe Hancock line? i found a Joe Hancock stallion in my area. this stallion is out of Ruano Rojo who is out of Blue Valentine...... i really like the build of this stallion. he has nice bone and an alla round nice look to him.

would breeding my racing bred mare to the Joe Hancock lines be a good cross performance wise?

the stallion himself is not on Allbreed but his sire and Dam are

Sire: Ruano Rojo
Dam: They Call Me Sassy

I know about the Blue \/alentine breeding..
I read an artical in a horse journal about
Blue \/alentine.

I think if you breed to a Blue \/alentine
then you will get a good baby.

Otherwise I don't know

What are you looking to produce.
I'm not a real big fan of cross breeding-Even if it isn't really.
Although, still breeding 2 Qh's together.
Try and stick with;
Stock x Stock
Cow x Cow
Performance x Performance
Halter x Halter
Hancocks, Yes very good working lineage, most of them are extremely talented, but sometimes tricky smart and don't tolerate amatuers very well.

Joe Hancock horses are well spoken of in my area. I have several friends who enjoy them. They are a good working breed- then it does depend though, on what you'd be breeding for. I have never owned more than one, seem to be good performance work stock. And smart. I don't mind my foundation bred Doc Bars either though...
